Camel Trekking in Merzouga
Walking into Erg Chebbi on camelback, with only the sound of soft footsteps on sand, is the reason many travellers come to Merzouga. Our treks leave close to the riad and are led by guides who grew up beside these dunes.

The experience
Most guests choose a late-afternoon departure so they can stop on a high dune and watch the sand shift from gold to deep orange. Early risers can do the same in reverse at sunrise, when the desert is cool and very quiet.
The pace is relaxed and the camels are led on foot, so no riding experience is needed.
